Dr. Maria Genello is a 2011 graduate of West Scranton High School. She attended the University of Scranton on the Dean’s Scholarship, graduating summa cum laude in December 2014 with her bachelor’s degree in Biology. Dr. Maria then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, earning her Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2019. She officially joined Century Dental as an associate dentist in July of 2019.

Dr. Maria was the 2015 recipient of the Dr. Todd M. Angelo Memorial Scholarship award presented by the Scranton District Dental Society. While attending dental school, she was the 2018 recipient of the Omicron Kappa Epsilon National Dental Honor Society William S Kramer award of excellence, and she became an inducted member of the Omicron Kappa Epsilon National Dental Honor Society in 2019. She was the recipient of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine award in Oral Maxillofacial Radiology and Pathology in 2019. She served as a member of the admissions committee for the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine from 2017-2019. Dr. Maria is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the American Academy of General Dentistry and the Scranton District Dental Society.

Dr. Genello loves being back near Scranton where she can use her dental expertise to serve her hometown. When she is not focused on dentistry, Dr. Maria enjoys spending time with her husband, Jeremy, and her big Italian family every week for Sunday dinner.
