Dr. P. Joseph Perrotti has been providing dental care to our community of friends, family and colleagues for over 41 years. “I would not have achieved the level of success I have, without the tireless and never-ending support I received from my parents.” He was born and raised in West Scranton and a proud West Side Invader. His undergraduate studies were from Bloomsburg University, where biology and football filled his busy schedule. He then earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1985. Before receiving the senior class honor in, Excellence in Operative Dentistry, he was hired in his senior year to teach in the pre-clinical labs with freshman students. He has chosen to merge his practice with Century Dental Associates at this time to continue to maintain the exceptional care you have come to expect but also grant him more time to focus on your dental well-being without the burden of excessive administrative tasks.
Dr. “Joe”, as his youngest patients and friends refer to him, is a first-generation dentist in his family. As many of you know, he enjoys doing pottery, leaded glass window construction, and a variety of carpentry projects. There is no
doubt these skills have contributed to his extreme passion for doing dentistry. Dr. Joes relentless pursuit of knowledge, connected with his love of working with his hands, fuels his growth to be the very best dentist he can be. Dr. Joe is a strong advocate for preventative dentistry and delivers his care in the most comfortable way possible to his patients. “No one likes going to the dentist, but we always try to keep things lighthearted with a touch of laughter.”
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Scranton District Dental Association, where he is a Past President, Director, and Parliamentarian. He is a life member of the Academy of General Dentistry, where he held the position of director for two terms and Parliamentarian. He received numerous awards and certificates from Temple University School of Dentistry at graduation. After 40 years of playing tennis and golf, he can be found three or four times a week competitively playing pickleball! 11-0-1
