Dr. Michael Genello is a 2009 graduate of West Scranton High School. He went on to attend the University of Scranton, where he earned a full academic Presidential Scholarship. While there, he played on the golf team and received a Merit Award recognizing his academic excellence and athletic achievement. Dr. Genello graduated magna cum laude in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology.

He continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where he received the Dr. Todd Angelo Memorial Scholarship Award, presented by the Scranton District Dental Society. During dental school, he was lab partners with his future wife, Dr. Sammi Linkowski-Genello of Century Dental West Scranton. Upon graduation in 2017, Dr. Genello was honored with the Straumann Senior Implant Award for excellence in Oral Implantology.

Following dental school, Dr. Genello practiced in Olyphant, PA for eight years before joining his wife, Dr. Sammi, and his sister, Dr. Maria Genello, at Century Dental. He takes great pride in helping patients feel comfortable during their visits and in providing personalized care tailored to each individual’s goals for a healthy, confident smile.

Dr. Genello is a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and Scranton District Dental Society.

When he’s not practicing dentistry, Dr. Genello enjoys spending time with his family—especially his two children—golfing, lifting weights, and crafting homemade wine and soppressata.
